Perimeter Zone

Definition: zone immediately adjacent to, and within 5 m (15 ft) of, the external façade. Perimeter spaces require special consideration in terms of their heating and cooling loads, which are significantly different to those of internal/core zone areas due to the influence of factors such as solar gain and fabric heat loss through the building envelope
