Kilowatt-Hour (kWh)

Definition 1: One thousand watts acting over a period of 1 hour. The kWh is a unit of energy. 1 kWh=3600 kJ.

Definition 2: A unit of energy equal to 1,000 watt-hours. The basic measure of electric energy generation or use. A 100-watt light bulb that is left on for 10 hours uses one kilowatt-hour.
