Arcosanti: An Urban Laboratory (Arizona, USA)

Arcosanti is located in the high desert of central Arizona. Since 1970 Arcosanti has been underconstruction. Arcosanti has been built by volunteer and workshop labor over 30 years. It's primary function is to serve as an Urban Laboratory. Born in Turin Italy in 1919, Paolo Soleri is responsible for inventing the concept of an Arcology.The Master Plan outlines Arcosanti as a prototype Arcology using various alternative technologies.
