Rocky Top Living Community (Yakima, Washington, USA)

A ten-home community near Yakima, Washington, that features passive solar design, rainwater collection, natural ventilation, no-VOC interiors, super-insulation for high energy efficiency, solar hot water, PVs, natural wastewater treatment on-site, sagebrush and mountain views and an average of 300 days of sunshine per year. The community is on the William O. Douglas Hiking Trail that connects Yakima with Mount Rainier in Washington State. Each home has raised bed gardens and there are 40 acres of shared open space.
