Certificate in Sustainable Design & Green Buildings

University of Tennessee College of Architecture and Design, along with RedVector, offers an online certificate program in sustainable design and green building. This certificate program introduces design and construction professionals to the latest information on emerging green building theory and practices in commercial and residential building. There are three certification levels available: LEVEL I CERTIFICATE: Provides a core curriculum on sustainable design & green buildings that includes 10 courses and 25 hours of training. LEVEL II CERTIFICATES: Focuses on specific subjects within sustainable design. All students have the flexibility to start with either the Level I or Level II Certificates. Students also have the option to take approved courses individually. LEVEL III CERTIFICATE: Recognizes students that successfully complete the Level I Certificate plus 47 hours of additional courses.

ABOUT THE UT COLLEGE OF ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN
Consistently ranked as one of the Best Southeastern Colleges by Princeton Review, UT offers graduate degrees in Architecture and Landscape Architecture with Concentrations in Sustainable Design at the professional and post-professional levels. The College was the first to adopt the 2010 Imperative for Architectural Education put out by the Architecture 2030 organization. Ecological literacy is taught across the curriculum in both undergraduate and graduate programs. Faculty have won numerous teaching and educational research awards in the field of sustainable design.

RedVector is a registered education provider with AIA and USGBC, and courses in the certificate program can be used for continuing education and maintenance requirements.
