The Center for Energy Efficient Design (CEED) is a state-of-the-art educational center that is housed in a net zero, energy-efficient building. The building employes technologies that include PassiveHouse design,earth berming, south-facing solar orientation, thermal mass, geothermal energy, photovoltaics, solar hot water heaters, electricity-producing wind turbines, rainwater harvesting, energy efficient appliances, and daylighting. The building is monitored so students have access to real-time data for thier studies.
