Outback Power Systems Course
6 hour hands-on class (6 NABCEP CEC Credits)
Max 20 students

The Outback power products are a mix of battery based backup/grid tie inverters and solar charge controllers, and balance of systems materials to make overall installation of a battery based system much simpler than piecing a system together from local sources. A rare training opportunity to work closely with 3+ live systems (FP1ʼs) Get familiar with DC circuitry and the DC side of back up systems, install backup, or battery based grid tie systems. Find out more about Outback at www.outbackpower.com. This class includes a complimentary lunch, free parking and Solar Economics of PV Overview for Selling to the Grid-Tied Market with Andy Black seminar.

Enphase Course
6 hour hands on class (6 NABCEP CEC Credits)
Max 25 students

Micro-inverter technology is one of the fastest growing segments in PV. Enphase has grown to 15-20 percent overall US residential inverter market-share and sold 500,000 inverters in 3 short years. Interest of Microinverters and especially Enphase has phenomenal growth. Overview of curriculum: Module 1 - Introduction to the Enphase Micro-inverter System; Module 2 - Design and installation of Enphase Systems; Module 3 - System performance monitoring. Products/Technology featured - Enphase Grid Interactive Microinverters (all models) - Envoy Communications gateway - Enlighten system monitoring. Find out more about Enphase Energy at www.enphaseenergy.com/. This class includes a complimentary lunch, free parking and Solar Economics of PV Overview for Selling to the Grid-Tied Market with Andy Black Seminar.

Solar Economics of PV Overview for Selling to the Grid-Tied Market with Andy Black Seminar
- Included in all day classes
- $100 value Registration for On-Grid Only $100 (11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.)

Seminar will present a brief overview of PV economics to help PV dealers, installers, and salespeople make the best and most accurate financial case to their customers to help them make more sales and open more eyes to the value of solar systems. Andy Black will discuss the factors that can make the economics of a PV system attractive (Net Metering, Time of Use Rates, High Rates, Tiered Rates, Incentives including Rebates, Tax Credits, Feed-In Tariffs). He will then discuss the various methods of performing financial analysis in conjunction with the savings realized. Financial analysis methods discussed will include Total Lifecycle Payback, Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Cash Flow, and Appraisal Resale Value. All students will receive one month free use of the OnGrid Tool (licensing agreement required) to try additional scenarios.
