Blacksburg Farmers Market shoppers eagerly await the ring of the bell at 8:00 a.m. each Saturday, and at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesdays, throughout the year. They anticipate a bounty of fresh locally grown, raised, and produced food and goods available at the Market. The Blacksburg Farmers Market [BFM] found its current roots in the mid-1980s with a handful of farmers selling their seasonal harvest from their vehicles in a strip mall parking lot located on South Main Street. The Market moved to the corner of Draper Road and Roanoke Street in the early 1990s.
