Pharos Project (Fee-Based)

The Pharos Project provides (for a subscription fee) a method for evaluating green building materials that promote environmental health. Building materials can be searched by product type (carpet, paint, thermal insulation, flooring, wallboard, ceiling, coatings, laminates, adhesives, MDF, roofing, solid surfaces). You can also browse by certification type (biobased content, composite wood, energy, formaldehyde content, LCA, management, multi-attribute, organic agriculture, recycled content, sustainable forestry, VOC content and VOC emissions). Impact categories include: volatile organic compounds, toxic content, manufacturing toxics, renewable materials, renewable energy and reflectance.
