A Sky Tunnel skylight is a tubular daylighting technology that is installed in the roof of a commercial or residential building to provide even light transmission to dark areas of the building interior throughout the day. It uses light tubes or light pipes for transporting natural light and produces illumination equivalent to 800 watts of fluorescent lighting. It fits many different roofing types such as tile, slate, flat, metal deck, etc.
Sky Tunnel is available in three sizes as of January 2013. The sizes are TRUE light area dimensions, and not reduced by ceiling trim.
343mm (13.5”)
457mm (18”)
535mm (21”)
The specially designed dome collects light from the roof and conducts it to the reflective tube; it is made from high-impact, UV-stabilized acrylic or polycarbonate (Lexan SLX).
Sky Tunnel is available in two types of tubing: the Rigid98 Tube (98% reflection) and Flexi-Tube, with different length options.
